Lorac Mint Edition

P1030510I've had my eye on this Lorac Mint Edition palette for quite some time, and Hautelook finally featured it in one of their blowout sales. The packaging is of course what reeled me in. The mint colored leather is to die for! The palette closes securely with a magnet and the lip gloss has an interesting design. I'm not a fan of the lip gloss brush, as it is very small, but the color is beautiful and seems like a universally flattering shade.

P1030522In addition to a gorgeous nude colored lip gloss, this palette features everything you'd need for a complete eyeshadow look, including four matte shades, four shimmers, and a highlight and blush color. I picked this up mainly for the mint shadow, as I am obsessed with the color for spring, and I feel like it's a pretty rare color to come in an eyeshadow palette.

L-R, Lip Gloss, highlight, blush. top: matte shadows, bottom: shimmers.

I am a tad disappointed in the matte shades as they are less pigmented than I expected. I did manage to create a wearable look with them, but I did struggle to really pack on the color. The mint shade especially was a bit difficult to work with, but once it showed up it was lovely. The shimmer shades are top notch, like all of the Lorac shadows I've tried. The highlight is extremely pigmented and only a tiny bit is needed.

P1030493I just filmed a Get Ready With Me featuring this palette. It won't be up until next Sunday, but here's a sneak peek! In the meantime, you can check out my Everyday Foundation Routine, which is the routine I followed for this look as well.

Have you tried the Lorac Mint Edition palette? Lorac shadows are my favorite so I'm always interested in what you guys think of them!
